Darlene Coppage:  In November of 2001, I joined the staff of UT Dallas as receptionist for the Career Center and in 2002 I was promoted to Administrative Assistant to our department’s director.  I work with a great group of people and am blessed to have a boss who encourages my involvement in campus committees and programs.

As I near the end of my two-year term on the Staff Council and as the Staff Council Fundraising Committee Chair, I realize that there is still more that I want to contribute to the Staff Council and its mission.  It is for that reason that I am excited to be nominated again to serve on the Council.  I welcome the challenge of helping create and support new benefits and programs for staff, to raise money for more staff scholarships, and much more.  The entire UT Dallas staff benefits greatly from the Council’s efforts and I feel it is important for me to give back.

In addition to working for The University of Texas at Dallas, I enjoy making jewelry, traveling with my husband in our motorhome and definitely spending time with our great family.
