This degree is new for 2007. International Political Economy (B.A., B.S.)The International Political Economy program is an interdisciplinary academic program to help students function successfully in today’s increasingly complex international environment. Graduates will develop skill sets that include critical thinking, knowledge of multiple cultures, and effective communication skills. Students will be prepared for entry level analytical and administrative positions in the public, non-profit, and for profit private sectors. The School of Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences offers both the B.A. and B.S. degree in International Political Economy. The B.A. degree places a somewhat greater emphasis on culture, literature, and history. The B.S. degree places a somewhat greater emphasis in economics and international finance. Employment options include, but are not limited to:
Students seeking a B.A. or B.S. in International Political Economy may want to consider obtaining a double major in economics or in government and politics; or obtaining a minor in one of these areas.
