Academic Year Financial Aid Deadlines

Priority Processing Deadlines for Financial Aid Applicants.

2008-2009 Deadlines

• Fall 2008 – March 31, 2008
• Spring 2009 – October 6, 2008
• Summer 2009 – March 9, 2009*

2009-2010 Deadlines

• Fall 2009 – March 31, 2009
• Spring 2010 – October 9, 2009
• Summer 2010 – March 12, 2010

Students who do not meet the priority deadlines indicated above will only be considered for the Federal Pell Grant, the Federal Stafford Loan, and for dependent students, the Federal PLUS Loan.

Students who received TEXAS GRANT funds in prior years must file their 2009-2010 FAFSA no later than November 15, 2009 for renewal of their TEXAS GRANT award. There will be no exceptions to this deadline.

You may still complete a FAFSA if you do not meet the priority deadline. However, FAFSA applications must be submitted at least three weeks before the end of the term in which you are enrolled to allow time for processing.

* Please note that if you are attending UTD in Summer 2009 and will transfer the credit hours to your home school, you will need to contact your home school for financial aid assistance. UTD will not be able to provide financial aid for transient students.
