The Aage and Margareta Moller Endowed Scholarship is a declaration of their support for The University of Texas at Dallas.

• Recipients will be chosen based on financial need. A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is not required to determine financial need, but a financial needs analysis must be completed by the UT Dallas Office of Financial Aid in cases where students are unable to submit a FAFSA.
• This scholarship is administered under the direction of the Dean for Undergraduate Education.
• A preference will be given to undergraduate students, although graduate students may be considered based on compelling financial need.
• Preference will be given to students with the greatest financial need and for students who do not meet criteria for other sources of financial aid.
• Scholarships will be awarded competitively and in the minimum amounts (currently $1,000) necessary to qualify for in-state tuition rates.

To be considered, students must return a completed and signed application, including their personal narrative. Please include student ID on your narrative.

The Arts & Technology Scholarship is funded by the Metroplex Technology Business Council 2008 Tech Titan Award and the Greater Texas Foundation. The award is a total of $2000 for one year towards tuition, or $1000 per Fall and Spring semester.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Students must be Arts & Technology or Emerging Media & Communication majors
• Scholarships will be awarded to Undergraduate
• Applicants must be or will be enrolled in at least 12 hours
• Students must have/maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA to qualify for the award and to continue receiving the award
• Scholarship recipients must enroll in at least one course in Arts & Technology or Emerging Media & Communication each semester
• If a student drops a course and/or earns less than the required OP A, slhe will be placed on probation the following semester and the Arts & Technology Scholarship committee will review her/his case
• If graduating in December, students who apply during their junior year will receive one-half of the award (for the fall semester of their senior year)

The University of Texas at Dallas welcomes applications from well-qualified students for appointment as the Belofsky Graduate Fellow at The Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies in the School of Arts and  Humanities. The scholarship is open to students wishing to pursue doctoral degrees in the areas of Holocaust, modern Jewish culture, or comparative perspectives on the American and European Jewish experience. We welcome both American and international students.

The School of Arts & Humanities offers a Ph.D. in Humanities with concentrations in aesthetic studies, history of ideas, and studies in literature, emphasizing interdisciplinary study and research. The Holocaust Studies program spans a multi-faceted curriculum, and is enriched by the Leah and Paul Lewis Chair in Holocaust Studies, the Burton C. Einspruch Holocaust Lecture Series and the Arnold A. Jaffe Holocaust Book Collection. Belofsky Fellows will have the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies under the supervision of Dr. Zsuzsanna Ozsvath, Dr. Nils Roemer or Dr. David Patterson.

Belofsky Fellows receive 12-month stipends of $20,000 along with complete remiss ion of all UT Dallas tuition and fees annually for up to five years, subject to satisfactory progress toward the Ph.D. degree. Fellows have no required teaching responsibilities or other work assignments. Completed applications should include an approximately 650-word statement of purpose, a CV and a full transcript. Applicants submit a scholarly 5 to 25-page writing sample on a topic related to the Holocaust, modern Jewish culture or comparative perspectives on the American and European Jewish experience. Please include three recommendation forms from current or former college instructors able to judge your probable success in the doctoral program.

The Bryce and Jonelle Jordan Scholarship Fund was established in 1981 to support undergraduate music students at The University of Texas at Dallas. Bryce Jordan, flutist and musicologist, was the first President of UT Dallas. It has since been extended, with Dr. Jordan's approval, to provide financial support for undergraduate students in any of the creative and performing arts. The School of Arts and Humanities awards these scholarships in the Art and Performance area, which includes music, theatre, dance, creative writing and the visual arts.

Scholarships are awarded from $500 to $1,000 per long semester to students who are or will be full-time students. Preference is given to students who major in degree programs within the School of Arts and Humanities, but may also be awarded to students who minor in the arts. Scholarships are awarded over the two long semesters (Fall and Spring), half payable in each semester. Scholarship recipients must enroll in at least one course in the Art and Performance area (usually an upper level performing ensemble or studio course, or an upper level creative writing course) during each semester. Students who are currently receiving an academic scholarship that covers full tuition and fees are not eligible. These scholarships include, but are not limited to, Academic Distinction Scholarships, Academic Honors Scholarships, Academic Excellence Scholarships for National Merit Scholars, and the McDermott Scholars Program.

Non-Texas residents who receive an award at the $1,000 level are considered in-state residents for tuition and fee purposes. Renewals are not automatic, but students may reapply for subsequent scholarships for a total scholarship period of up to four years.

New and transfer students must have been accepted by The University of Texas at Dallas prior to applying for a Bryce Jordan Scholarship. Continuing students must be in good academic standing and must enroll full-time during the scholarship period.

This is a $1,000 merit-based scholarship that will be awarded to new or continuing master's degree students in the Naveen Jindal School of Management. To be considered for this scholarship:

• For new students a GMAT or GRE score required.
• Graduate Students should be enrolled for five or more credit hours in the semester in which they receive the scholarship.
• Continuing Graduate Students should have completed 2 long semesters (fall and spring) and have taken 12 or more hours by the end of the semester in which they are applying for the scholarship.
• New Transfer Students must be transferring at least 15 credit hours, and have a previous GPA of 3.50 or higher, or be in the top 25% of their class.
• Students must have evidence of outstanding academic ability as evidenced by previous coursework or excellent GMAT or GRE scores
• All applicants must provide one recommendation on form provided from previous employer or professors.

Applications from students enrolling for the first time, who meet the above criteria, will be reviewed as they are received, and the award will be made to the top-ranked candidates that the committee determines best satisfy the scholarship's criteria. Continuing students should submit their applications by the deadline listed.

The committee's decision regarding the awarding of the Dean's Excellence Scholarship is subject to review by the UT Dallas Scholarship Committee appointed by the administration and approved by the Texas Education Coordinating Board. The scholarship cannot be "stacked" or combined with other scholarships awarded by the JSOM. Students are eligible for this award only once PER ACADEMIC YEAR.

About GDIACC: The Greater Dallas Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, is a non-profit 501(c) (6) organization created by successful Americans of Indian origin, wanting to further encourage and facilitate trade between the United States and India. In addition to international trade, the GDIACC promotes commerce in local markets, helping member companies network and grow their businesses within the U.S. About the Scholarship: The GDIACC wants to provide financial assistance to undergraduate and/or graduate students in the School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas. A successful applicant will also be interested in giving back to the community through service at the chamber.

Award Requirements: To qualify for consideration, the student must:

• Have computer science or management information systems experience and abilities
• Be enrolled for at least six hours at UT Dallas at the time of application, or be admitted as a degree-seeking student before award is granted
• Demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, with a GPA of 3.0 or better
• Demonstrate community involvement
• Be willing to do volunteer work for the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (approximately 15-20 hours per week)

Applicants must provide the following in their application:

• A completed application form
• A copy of resume
• A one-page, double-spaced narrative explaining why you are interested in receiving this award and discussing your academic and professional goals

The Society of Iranian American Women for Education established the UT Dallas Iranian American Student Scholarship for the benefit of students attending The University of Texas at Dallas. The $1000 scholarship award will be awarded on a competitive basis by a committee duly appointed by the president of UT Dallas which will qualify the recipient for the out-of-state tuition waiver.

Undergraduate applicant must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or Graduates must maintain a 3.5 GPA to be considered for this award. All awardees must sign a 3rd Party Release of Information Form.

Continuing graduate students in good standing, who have contributed significantly to a JSOM organization, special event, or program, and have completed 2 long semesters (Fall and Spring) and have taken 12 or more hours by the end of the semester before they apply, and who are enrolling for 5 or more hours in the semester award is granted.

The North American Society of Indian Muslims Foundation (NASIM) established this scholarship for the use and benefit of students attending The University of Texas at Dallas. Each award funded by NASIM will be at least $1,000 annually, and the scholarship(s) will be awarded on a competitive basis by a committee duly appointed by the president of UTD which will qualify the recipient for the out-of-state tuition waiver.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Candidates must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average to be considered for this award.
2. A preference may be given to student(s) who have studied for at least two months in a South Asian country such as India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and/or students enrolled in coursework related to these regions (i.e., South Asian History, Urdu language, etc.).
3. Candidates much provide adequate proof of monetary need for the award with current FAFSA on file in the financial aid office or complete a financial statement in order to establish need.

Other Considerations:

1. Candidates who received the award in prior years are eligible to reapply and must submit their latest credentials and full application for consideration.
2. Recipient must commit to volunteer at NASIM a minimum of 30 hours annually in community service.
3. Include in your personal narrative a brief history of your life and in particular any crisis/hardship you are experiencing or have experienced.

The Officer Bernard F. Parson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in Bernard's name by his family shortly after his death to memorialize Bernard in an honorable and respectful manner. We want to ensure Bernard's name lives on and everyone remembers the supreme service he gave to The University of Texas at Dallas. The Scholarship will be awarded once a year in the amount of $500.

Bernard served with The University of Texas at Dallas Police Department from February 1, 2001 to May 25, 2003. Bernard's love for his family was one of his finest attributes that he will always be remembered for. Bernard's service and dedication to his community in Cedar Hill and at the University of Texas at Dallas was never-ending. Bernard was known at the University for his contagious smile and his rapport with those he served and served with. We believe, as Bernard believed, that young people further themselves and society through education.

The Bernard F. Parson Scholarship is open to all students who have been accepted to and enrolled at The University of Texas at Dallas and are interested in a career in law enforcement. The award will give primary consideration to the applicant's scores on standardized tests and scholastic records, both evaluating the type and nature of courses taken and the grades achieved in specific courses. The committee may also consider and give positive weight to such factors as the following in designating recipients:

• Achievements in work experiences
• Community service
• Extracurricular activities; leadership
• Surmounting obstacles to the further pursuit of higher education
• Socioeconomic background
• Educational level
• Status as a first generation college student

The UT Dallas Recycling Scholarship funds come from recycling projects promoted throughout the university. To be considered, a student must:

• Be a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours in the current Fall semester.
• Have successfully completed at UT Dallas at least 12 semester credit hours if an undergraduate student or at least 9 semester credit hours if a graduate student
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Have a current FAFSA or TASFA on file with the Office of Financial Aid
• Demonstrate financial need

Applications MUST include:

1. A current letter of recommendation on university letterhead from a UT Dallas faculty member or academic advisor
2. A personal narrative as indicated on the scholarship application form

Only complete applications will be reviewed. Applicants will be notified of a decision via email. Scholarships will be awarded in the Spring.

The privately endowed Armstrong Fund in the School of Arts and Humanities at UT Dallas permits the graduate program to award a few modest fellowships each academic year. In contrast to Teaching Assistantships, which involve part-time work for the school and are based solely on students' academic record, these awards are based on financial need as well as academic merit. Thus, applicants must provide the fellowship committee information on their incomes as well as estimated expenses.

While the awards are direct payments to recipients, the school requires Armstrong fellows to study full time and expects that they use the grants toward university tuition. Indeed, most of the grants would qualify recipients for in-state tuition, should they not otherwise qualify for it. Although a student may hold a teaching assistantship and Armstrong grant simultaneously, students holding a Graduate Student Scholarship are not eligible for the Armstrong grant. If a student is awarded the Armstrong grant but withdraws from classes, the amount of the award must be paid back to the university.

Application

The School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences (EPPS) Transfer Scholarship is for qualified first-time, degree-seeking, undergraduate transfer students enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester credit hours. Transfer students are defined as individuals who have completed college-level course work beyond high school graduation (excluding the summer immediately after high school graduation).

This scholarship can be used to cover educational related expenses including tuition and fees. Each recipient will receive a one-time $500 award, credited to their student account. The EPPS scholarship committee will select up to 5 awardees.

Scholarship Requirements:

1. Recipient must be admitted as an undergraduate transfer student enrolling for the first time at UT Dallas.
2. Cumulative transferable GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, at the time of admission.
3. Have earned at least 30, but no more than 90, transferable semester credit hours.
4. Must have a declared major in EPPS. Qualified majors include: Criminology, Economics, Geospatial Science, International Political Economy, Political Science, Public Affairs, and Sociology.
5. The student must submit an essay on the topic indicated on the application.

Dr. Sjoerd Steunebrink, served as an anesthesiologist in Houston for twenty-three years after completing his residency at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. An immigrant from the Netherlands, Dr. Steunebrink believed that one could accomplish something if they really worked hard. It is with this belief, that Dr. Steunebrink established this scholarship in order to provide assistance for others who share in his belief in working hard to attain their goals.

Applicant must be an Undergraduate student currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours. Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible. All applicants must have a current FAFSA on file with the Financial Aid office or otherwise demonstrate financial need to be considered. Law and Pre-law students are excluded.

One Scholarship - $1,500

Terry and Claire Rock established this scholarship to recognize a talented individual with technological engineering training, who also possesses a desire to establish their own entrepreneurial venture or startup enterprise. Mr. and Mrs. Rock would like to help an individual acquire the management skills necessary to develop the business model, market innovative new products, and manage the business endeavor. They plan to award the scholarship in the fall semester to support an engineering student or graduate pursuing an MBA or Master of Science in Entrepreneurship or a dual engineering/management degree.

To qualify for consideration, the individual must:

1. Have earned an engineering degree and be seeking either an MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree or a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship degree or be seeking dual degrees in engineering and business administration.
2. Be admitted as a degree-seeking student before award is granted and enrolled for at least 5 credit hours at UT Dallas at time of application.
3. Demonstrate a high level of academic achievement with a GPA of 3.5 or better.
4. Possess an evident entrepreneurial intent as outlined in their application cover letter addressing their career goals.

In order to apply for this scholarship, a student must submit:

1. A completed application form.
2. Using the form supplied, one letter of recommendation, preferably from a UT Dallas faculty member.
3. A cover letter/personal statement describing your entrepreneurial activities, documenting your prior business and engineering experience, providing evidence of your ability to write and develop a business plan, and discussing your goals for running your own business.
