USCIS Fee Increase

The I-765 OPT fee will change from $175 to $180. Submit your OPT application to the ISS Office prior to October 19 and postmark your OPT application to USCIS prior to October 25 to pay the lesser fee. The I-539 Change of Status fee will raise to $200. The new fee schedule pertains to applications postmarked October 26, 2005 or after.
Form changes: The I-765 form for OPT applications must be the current version. Submitting out of date forms to USCIS may lead to an application delay or denial. The current I-765 form has a notation on the bottom right corner that reads "Form I-765 (Rev.01/31/05)N Prior editions may be used until 9/30/05."
