Reduction in CPT Processing Time (7/23/04)
[All information is subject to change without notice.]
The standard ISS Office processing time for Curricular Practical Training will be decreased from five to seven business days to three business days. A student must submit a complete CPT request to qualify, including a letter from the Career Center or IPP Office, CPT I-20 request form filled out by the student, passing grades in all past CPT courses, and no incomplete grades.
To accommodate the beginning of the semester rush, we will process all complete CPT requests by the Monday following the graduation day as long as students submit all materials to our office on the day grades are due. For example, if a student submits a complete CPT request by August 4, the CPT I-20 will be ready for pickup on August 9. We will use the dates printed on the UTD academic calendar for this process every semester.
