New Students

Welcome

When you enroll at UT Dallas, you join a community of students like yourself - adventurous, bright and deserving of the best education. You will be studying under internationally respected scholars, including members of the Academies of Sciences and Engineering and a Nobel laureate. The university is home to more than 2,000 international students from more than 90 countries. Our Office of International Student Services (ISS) will assist you in making your transition to a new country and a new culture an easy one. They'll help you discover the fullness of a great United States university: the academics, research, athletics, and social and cultural events, all offered within walking distance of safe and convenient campus housing.

Financial Sponsorship

Learn about grants, scholarships and other forms of financial support for your education costs with the Financial Sponsorship page. For information on cost of attendance, see the UTD Financial Aid website.

Health Insurance

International students are required to carry health insurance and evacuation/repatriation coverage while enrolled at UTD. Find out the policy details, how to access medical care, and waiver instructions in the Insurance section.

Events and Activities

The International Student Services Office realizes that moving to a new country can be a distressing experience. In order to help you transition, we regularly schedule programs and events to ensure your cultural, social, professional, and academic success while studying in the U.S.

UT Dallas will close for Winter Holidays

Dear Students,

We hope you are doing well. The ISSO is looking forward to meeting you this Spring 2010. Please be aware that UT Dallas will be closed from December 18th, 2009 to January 3rd, 2010 due to Winter Holidays.

The ISSO services will not be available during that time. In order for us to be able to issue your I-20 or DS-2019 on time, please submit the necessary documents to us no later than Thursday, December 17th, 2009.
