Questions about accessing Orion
Q: I know that Orion is the UT Dallas Student Information System. What information can I find when I log into Orion?
A: In Orion, you can verify your admission status, update your mailing address, and identify any registration blocks.Q: I have tried to access my UT Dallas email or log into Orion. I am having trouble. What can I do?
A: Use your Net ID and password to log in to your UT Dallas email or Orion account.

Q: I have tried to update my address in Orion. I am having trouble. What can I do?
A: To correct or update your home/mailing address, contact the Office of Enrollment Services at interest@utdallas.edu. To correct or update your SEVIS-Foreign address, contact the ISSO at ISSOProspective@utdallas.edu and specifically ask for your SEVIS-Foreign address to be corrected or updated.

Q: I received an email from the ISSO saying that I am admitted, but I haven’t received my admission letter. How can I verify my admission with the Office of Enrollment Services?
A: You may verify your application status in Orion or contact the Office of Enrollment Services at interest@utdallas.edu.Q: I would like to request a duplicate admission letter. How do I make that request?
A: You may request a duplicate admission letter by contacting the UT Dallas Office of Enrollment Services at
es-webdata@utdallas.edu. If you are a graduate student from the School of Management you may request a duplicate at som-grad@utdallas.eduQ: I would like to change my major. How do I do that?

Questions about financial documents and I-20 status
Q: I have been admitted and have submitted financial documents for my I-20. How do I get notifications on the status of my UT Dallas I-20?
A: You will receive an email from the UT Dallas ISSO within 2 business days of your admission notifying you of the status of your UT Dallas I-20. As always, this message will go to your UT Dallas email address.You will also receive an email within 2 business days after you submit any financial documents needed for your I-20. If your documents are complete, your I-20 will be issued within this 2 business day period. The email will list mailing options for your I-20. See the ISSO website for details on the documents required for I-20 issuance.
Q: Is there a deadline to submit my documents to the ISSO so my I-20 is issued?
A: No, there is not a deadline. It is to your advantage to submit your documents as soon as possible so your I-20 can be issued and you can apply for your visa. You may send your documents to the ISSO by email at ISSOProspective@utdallas.edu or by fax at 972-883-4010.Q: I am trying to email financial documents to ISSOProspective@utdallas.edu. I am receiving an error message. How can I send my documents?
A: Before emailing, please verify that the total of your attachments is no larger than 5MB. Do not send files in compressed formats, such as .rar or .zip. Instead, use a PDF, JPEG or DOC format. If you continue to have the problem, fax your documents to 972-883-4010.Q: I was granted an scholarship or assistantship after my I-20 was issued. Do I need to get a new I-20?
A: It is your choice. If you wish to have your scholarship or assistantship funding listed on your I-20, email a scanned copy of the original scholarship or assistantship letter to ISSOProspective@utdallas.edu and a new I-20 will be issued. The letter must be signed by your academic department representative and be on UT Dallas letterhead.Q: I want to find out about scholarships and assistantships. Where is this information?

Questions about I-20 mailing
Q: My I-20 was sent by regular mail. To what address was it sent, and how can I get the tracking number?
A: As a default your UT Dallas I-20 will be sent to the SEVIS-Foreign address on file in the Orion student system. To determine that address, please review your SEVIS-Foreign address in Orion. If you would like your I-20 to be sent to a different address, please send an email with the address to the ISSO at ISSOProspective@utdallas.edu.There are no tracking numbers for mail sent through the US Postal Service (regular mail). Mailing times vary by country; it may take up to 30- 45 days for your packet to reach you. Please wait for your packet to arrive.
Q: I would like to request a duplicate I-20. How do I make that request?
A: You may request a duplicate I-20 at any time by emailing ISSOProspective@utdallas.edu. Include whether you request regular mail (please include the address you want it sent) or express mail. If you request express mail, follow the instructions on this webpage http://www.utdallas.edu/student/international/forms/expressmail.html prior to making the request.Q: By mistake I entered two or more express mail orders. How can I request a refund of the express mail shipping cost?
