Procedures for New International Students

Financial Sponsorship

Health Insurance

International students are required to carry health insurance and evacuation/repatriation coverage while enrolled at UTD. Find out the policy details, how to access medical care, and waiver instructions in the Insurance section.

Events and Activities

The International Student Services Office realizes that moving to a new country can be a distressing experience. In order to make you feel more comfortable here, we regularly schedule Friday Coffee/Tea Festivals and other events where you can relax and get to know your fellow American and international students. We also provide the International Student Guidebook to new students at orientation or you may view it in advance.

Prospective Student Coordinators

The International Student Services Office provides services and information to new international students coming to UTD from abroad and from other educational institutions in the United States.  The Prospective International Student Team assists students with their first UTD I-20, provides help with initial questions about the university, and guides students through the visa application and I-20 transfer process.
