Congratulations! You are ready to start your student life at UT Dallas. 

Please register for classes, take care of your access to on-campus services and discover international student life.  Below you will find useful links to guide you.

• Register for classes with an academic advisor (Complete an academic orientation if required).
• Pay tuition and fees at the Bursar’s Office.
• Take fee payment receipt to the Comet Center to apply for your Comet Card (student ID).
• Register for computer account online.
• Visit the Payroll and Tax Compliance Office.
• Apply for a free DART bus pass.
• Apply for health insurance waiver in the ISSO before Census Day, if eligible.
• Attend class and purchase books.
• Discover international student life.

If you are a Transfer Student and have inquiries about your Transfer Complete I-20.  Please send your inquiry to ISSOProspective@utdallas.edu, call 972 883 4189 or visit the ISSO during the work hours listed below. Remember that you must sign and collect your Transfer Complete I-20 from the ISSO no later than the 30th day from your program start date or you risk violating your F-1 status.

We encourage you to contact the ISSO immigration advisors whenever you have doubts about maintaining your F-1 or J-1 status in the U.S.  You may do so by sending your inquiry to ISSOCurrent@utdallas.edu, visiting the ISSO during the work hours listed below, or by calling 972 883 4189 to request a phone appointment.

Please remember that Census Day is the last date to apply for the Student Health Insurance waiver and to present documents to update your visa status.  If you have any inquiries about the waiver process please contact ISSOInsurance@utdallas.edu.  If you will apply for a waiver or want to update your record to reflect your current immigration status, please plan to do so before Census Day.
