Checklist for a Successful Graduation
Congratulations! Now is the time to prepare for your
graduation. Please follow the checklist below to a
successful graduation!
- The deadline to apply for spring 2008 graduation has past.
- If you have not yet applied--see your academic advisor.
- Spring 2008 deadline to apply for graduation was January 15.
- Spring applications for graduation that were received January 16 through April 9, 2008 were charged a late fee of $100.
- NO late applications for spring 2008 graduation will be accepted after April 9, 2008.
- The deadline to apply for graduation in order to participate in this Spring Commencement Ceremony was April 9, 2008.
- Read the Taking
Courses Off Campus Policy if you are taking
courses off campus this semester.
- The deadline to submit a Graduation RSVP has passed. If you have applied for graduation but missed the RSVP deadline (April 9th), email your name
and degree information to graduation@utdallas.edu . Please be advised--we cannot guarantee guest tickets for RSVPs submitted after the deadline.
- Order your cap and gown.
- Get your graduation
announcements from Herff Jones.
- Check your SIS account
for holds.
- Get your tickets.
- Read the Commencement
ceremony instructions.
- Clarify the pronunciation
of your name.
- Review the way your name appears on the gold
copy you received of your graduation application
as that is the way it will appear on your diploma.
If you want to make changes, you must e-mail
the Graduation Office by April 7, 2008.
- Remove any confidentiality flags at the Office
of the Registrar that will prohibit your name
from appearing in the graduation program distributed
at the ceremony.
- Update any changes to your
e-mail or mailing address.
- Find out how and when you will receive your graduation
diploma.
- Find out if you qualify for the Texas
Tuition Rebate

- Contact Career Center
about job resources.
- Become a member of our Alumni
Association.
