What to Expect at Commencement

Commencement is held in the Activities Center on campus.
The Activity Center will open 45 minutes prior to each ceremony.
Each guest, including children, must have a ticket for the appropriate ceremony.
Graduates will cross the stage from right to left.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins.
The UT Dallas faculty and staff are proud of our formal ceremony and we ask that fog horns and noise makers be left at home.

Accommodations and Dining

Richardson has a variety of hotels and restaurants. Phone numbers and addresses of these can be found at Richardson's Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Disability Services

Sign interpretation of the ceremonies will be provided. If you are a person with a disability or expect guests with a disability and need special accommodations, Disability Services provides seating on the main floor at commencement. Please Note: Disability Services will provide seating on the main floor at commencement. Space is limited to persons with a disability and need special accommodations. One other person may accompany this guest. Tickets are required. Seats cannot be reserved.

Graduation Photos and Videos

Flash Photography will be present at Commencement. They will send your graduate proofs of his/her pictures taken at Commencement in addition to information regarding ordering prints. You may contact them at 214-443-9393 for more information.
