Commencement Ceremony Tickets

All tickets are free; however, you must request them by completing the on-line Graduation RSVP. If you are planning on attending your graduation ceremony, you must submit a Graduation RSVP whether or not you require any guest tickets. Tickets are required due to building capacity restrictions and are not for profit.

Additional tickets may be requested, however their availability is not guaranteed. If additional tickets become available, we will send an email notification Friday, May 2, 2008. They would then be distributed the morning of Monday, May 5, 2008.

Ticket Pickup

Tickets will be available for student pickup at the Office of the Registrar (located in MC 1.406 - downstairs in the McDermott library) for one week from April 21-April 25, 2008. Please bring a copy of your RSVP confirmation email with you. A picture ID is required. There will be no other days for reserved ticket pickup. Tickets will not be mailed.

If you are sending someone to pickup your tickets for you, the person must have a letter containing your name, your student ID number, a statement authorizing them to pick up your tickets, the person's name, and your signature. They must also show a photo ID at the time of pickup.

Special Accommodations

All tickets are "General Admission." There is no reserved seating.

The commencement ceremony will be projected on a large screen behind the stage with captions for the hearing impaired.

If you are a person with a disability or expect guests with a disability and need special accommodations, Disability Services provides seating on the main floor at commencement. Please Note: Disability Services accommodates requests on a first come, first serve basis at commencement and does not issue reserved tickets, please contact the Office of Disability Services at disabilityservice@utdallas.edu for information.

Children

If a child will be taking up space for a seat, the child will need a ticket. Please note that baby carriers and strollers will not be allowed into the auditorium for the Commencement ceremonies.
