How to Read Course Information

Call Number

The call number is the unique five digit course section identification number that you use for online registration.

Course Number

The course number is the four digit code following the course prefix (e.g. RHET 1101 - 001).

Final 2 Digits

1 = Freshman level undergraduate
2 = Sophomore level undergraduate
3 = Junior level undergraduate
4 = Senior level undergraduate
5-8 = Graduate level
1-9 = Semester hour value
V = Variable credit hour
Unique numbers within a subject area



Section Number

The section number is the three digit code following the course number (e.g. RHET 1101 - 001).

0-4 = Daytime
5-9 = Evening
1&6 = Stand Alone Lab
3&8 = Lab attached to lecture

G = Global MBA
T = Telecampus
D = Taught at Universities Center at Dallas
S = Special Session or Mini Session - This course has unique start and end dates.
I = Internet

Fall/Spring
5 = 1st 8 Week
9 = 2nd 8 Week Session

Summer
U = 11 Week Session
8 = 8 Week Session

5 (last character A-L) = 1st 5 Week Session
9 (last character M-Z) = 2nd 5 Week Session

Days of Week

The days of the week that a course is offered are displayed using the following abbreviations.

U Sunday
M Monday
T Tuesday
W Wednesday
R Thursday
F Friday
S Saturday
