One of my classmates brought up this issue: we are in a graduate class together that starts at 4pm on Tuesdays. The on-campus childcare starts at 4.30pm. She has the option of being half an hour late for class, or finding somebody else to take care of her child each week. She has talked to administrators there who told her that she can't drop off her child any earlier. So now she consistently shows up to class at 4.40 each week... good thing we have an understanding professor. What is the purpose of an on-campus childcare that does not accomodate one of the more common class times?
