Greetings from Dr. Darrelene Rachavong
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Student Affairs area at The University of Texas at Dallas. As you explore our web pages, I believe that you will quickly see that UT Dallas is a special place devoted to its mission and committed to creating and maintaining a culture of excellence for our students.
Perhaps one of the most exciting things about our campus is the diverse population of accomplished students who make up the UT Dallas family. These students, along with our staff and faculty, create a rich tapestry of diversity. It is my role as supervisor to provide the leadership necessary to create a campus climate that promotes academic achievement as well as the personal development of our students. We are committed to supporting your efforts and to serving as a resource ombudsman as you pursue diverse goals. I encourage you to ask questions early on and often.
UT Dallas is an organization which is not just satisfied to meet the demands of the present; it is committed to being the premiere organizational resource for the development of future leaders. As a student, your goal should be to take advantage of the broad range of opportunities offered you for personal growth. Although the University is growing rapidly, our campus still remains small enough that students can participate in an array of activities ranging from student government to service learning, from theatrical performance to athletics, and from Greek life to a world class chess program. Through these opportunities, your educational experience will be enriched.
You have my personal commitment that we will do everything possible to make the educational experience at UT Dallas personalized and fulfilling. Please explore our web pages fully and if you find you need any additional information or have questions, please contact our office.
