  • For the second consecutive year, The Mercury is a finalist for the Associated Collegiate Press’ Pacemaker Award, the top honor in college journalism. Winners are announced in October.
  • Radio UTD currently has 60 deejays running 52 shows.
Galerstein Women’s Center
  • 403 students visited the center for Breakfast Bonanza and Tea Tuesday during Welcome Week.
  • Matt Johns was hired as student development specialist II and starts Sept. 17.

  • Peer advisors hosted 1,552 students in community socials during move-in week.

Student Union
  • 20,000 visits to the Student Union during the first week of classes.

  • The ISSO app is now available for Android and iPhone and has been downloaded 500+ times to date.
  • Melissa Hernandez, intercultural programs coordinator will begin Sept. 8. She previously was an international student advisor.
