This seminar is designed to help graduate students who are about to begin or who are in the early stages of writing their dissertation proposals. It will focus on the basic principles of conducting research for and writing proposals across various disciplines. It will also provide effective strategies for addressing the difficulties commonly associated with completing the proposal.

You are eligible to register for the seminar if you have completed your qualifying exams and can commit to attending the seminar for the entire day. Lunch and snacks will be served.

Make an appointment to work with a tutor for our Sentence Basics Tutorial or our Transitioning to College Writing Tutorial. In the Sentence Basics Tutorial, get practical help on forming all different kinds of sentences and understanding sentence structure. In the Transition to College Writing Tutorial, learn the common pitfalls that students experience when moving from high-school to college and strategies to avoid them.

Simply make a normal appointment, but make sure we know that you are looking for a specific tutorial by writing the title in the comments or telling us over the phone when you make the appointment.
