College Journey Camp 4 Girls
The goal of College Journey is to give middle- and high-school girls an opportunity to learn about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers and to inspire them to embark on paths that will be instrumental in helping them achieve their own educational and career goals, while building a brighter tomorrow for us all.
Through College Journey’s 5-day residential program located the University of Texas at Dallas, girls will be mentored by successful STEM professionals currently working in STEM careers; be exposed to a range of STEM related coursework; and receive training in professional skills such as resume writing.
While at camp, girls will choose from and experience hands-on, interactive, curriculum-based activities facilitated by STEM role models in areas such as electrical engineering, chemical engineering, computer science and much more. The College Journey program is designed to not only to give girls the opportunity to visualize themselves pursuing and achieving goals in higher education and/or successful STEM careers, but also instill in them the confidence and give them the tools to make their dreams a reality.

The class will meet two times each week for four weeks. Each session will comprise one hour of in-class instruction and ninety minutes of problem solving in the computer lab. You will get a detailed email before the course starts. You should bring a USB flash drive each time you come. The course is limited to regional high school students, senior high school students and their teachers.
