During each legislative session, the Center for the Study of Texas Politics sponsors trips to Austin to allow our students to learn the legislative process first hand. These students are not only given the opportunity to watch the legislature work, but they are allowed to interact with the members in small groups and in one-on-one sessions. These trips allow the students to supplement the knowledge about legislative process and leadership skills they obtain from books and lectures with real life experiences.
