Online registration is now closed. Walk-in registration for Orientation will be available starting at 9:30a.m. on Tuesday January 8, space is limited. We accept cash or check only as form of payment for walk in students and their guests. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 972-883-6171 or 972-883-6147.

Financial Aid

Spring 2013 new student financial aid priority processing deadline was Oct. 15, 2012. If you missed the deadline and are interested in Financial Aid, please ontact your Financial Aid Counselor today! Financial Aid recommends you submit the FAFSA and all paperwork at least two weeks before the deadline.

Academic Advising and Class Registration

All new UT Dallas students, are required to meet with an acadmic advisor in order to register for classes. We suggest students meet with an academic advisor prior to attending orientation. Any outstanding admission requirements must be resolved prior to registering for classes. For details about remaining holds, check your student account at galaxy.utdallas.edu.

Holds

Holds on your account will typically prevent you from registering for classes. Every new UT Dallas student has a hold to meet with their academic advisor prior to registering for classes for the first time. However, you may have additional holds with other departments that could prevent you from registering for classes. For details about remaining holds, check your student account at galaxy.utdallas.edu. Examples of typical new transfer student holds are:

  • Application fee - Contact the Office of Admission and Enrollment Services
  • TSI - Contact your Academic Advisor Students may need to turn in additional documents to the Office of Admission and Enrollment Services, but your Academic Advisor will determine if you are eligible for a TSI hold removal.
  • Cannot Register online - Contact your Academic Advisor
  • Bacterial Meningitis - Contact the Office of Registrar
  • Final Official Transcript from Summer or Fall 2012 - Contact the Office of Admission and Enrollment Services
