GPA Calculator
Your grade point average, or GPA, is how UT Dallas numerically calculates academic performance on your transcript.
Grade point averages are determined by multiplying the points for each grade by the number of credit hours.
For example, a 4.0, or A, multiplied by three credit hours equals 12 grade points.
A student’s cumulative GPA is determined by dividing the total number of grade points earned by the total number of semester hours completed. Marks such as X, NC or CR are not included in a GPA.
For more information, see the Grading Policy in the Undergraduate Catalog Web site.
