Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
Scholarship, close to home.

What do you like about UT Dallas?

My sorority, all the friends I have made, the celebration of the diversity we have.

List some clubs and organizations you are or have been involved in at UT Dallas.

League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. (SLA, Inc.), Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society (DEI), Order of Omega

What has been your favorite/best experience at UT Dallas so far?

Getting admitted into the FYL program was a great experience for me.
Going through the process was nerve-wracking but being selected to be part of this renovated program meant that the staff saw potential in me to teach incoming freshmen and help the program flourish.
Being selected was a big compliment to my skills and also an exciting beginning of a new chapter for me at UTD.

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?

It’s not just academics. Though my education is still my top priority, it doesn’t mean I can’t have fun as well!

What do you like to do to unwind after class?

I love to watch movies, whether at the cinema or at home.

Why did you decide to become a First Year Leader (FYL)?

I had been wanting to apply since I was a sophomore but I didn’t go for it. I thought it looked like a fun position from my RHET 1101 class and decided to give my hand a try at teaching. I would also like to help freshmen NOT repeat the experiences I had when I started!

Is there anything you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?

Reject UTD as an actual university simply because I was a commuter and it was close to home.

What advice do you have for the incoming freshman class?

Come in as a completely blank slate. Come in with an open mind and be ready to take in everything UTD has to offer. You’ll be completely surprised as to how fantastic your four years will turn out if you do that!
