Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
I was originally a math major and I knew this would be a great university to attend for that particular degree plan.

What do you like about UT Dallas?

Everything! I really like that there are so many places to study. I also really like that we are given the opportunity to participate in so many activities such as intramurals.

List some clubs and organizations you are or have been involved in at UT Dallas.

Terry Scholars Program, Intramural Teams, FOCUS, Terry Scholars Mentor Mentee Program

What has been your favorite/best experience at UT Dallas so far?

BEING A FIRST YEAR LEADER!

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?

I didn’t realize how different it would be from high school. I learned that you have to put in a lot more effort in studying to do well in a class.

What do you like to do to unwind after class?

Workout or read (:

Why did you decide to become a First Year Leader (FYL)?

I feel like it would benefit me as well as the freshman for me to let them know what I have learned since I have been in college. Allowing them to hear firsthand the what to do and what not to dos are really important, and I felt it would be a wonderful opportunity to be the person giving them that information.

Is there anything you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?

I wish I would have studied more first semester. Because I didn’t know how to manage college classes yet, it penalized my grades and GPA.

What advice do you have for the incoming freshman class?

There are a lot of resources at UTD. When you feel like your grades or social life is suffering, use those resources!! (:
