The atmosphere of the student body, accessibility of faculty and staff, and the constant change and improvement that is going on at UT Dallas

What has been your favorite/best experience at UT Dallas so far?

Working Freshman Orientations/ Comet Camps

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?

I knew there was a great deal of independence; however the scale of it is difficult to communicate. Also, I learned that students must want to be social for them to get out.

What do you like to do to unwind after class?

Rock Climb, Hang out with friends, read

Why did you decide to become a First Year Leader (FYL)?

I saw the impact my FYL had on my schooling and wanted to have that same impact on students. Also, my experience as an OTM only reinforced this desire to impact incoming students.

Is there anything you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?

Meet more people that are part of the class of 2014.

What advice do you have for the incoming freshman class?

Get out of your room and explore! Take chances safely, make mistake learning from them and get out of your comfort zone!
