In the interest of protecting your identity, UTD has created a new primary identifier that replaces your Social Security number. You may use your UTD-ID number if you do not wish to disclose your Social Security number*. However, you may continue to use your Social Security number.
This change was completed on July 5, 2006.
Information on UTD-ID is available for students and for employees.
* Exceptions may apply. Refer to UTD Policy D1-153.0, Social Security Number Confidentiality.
The new UTD-ID will be eight digits that will uniquely identify an individual.
