library administration.
* A student reported her vehicle had been burglarized in Ph 3.
* A bicycle was reported stolen from Ph 8.
* Officers responded to an ill student, student was escorted to the
Health Center.
* Officers responded to an argument between roommates in Ph 3; incident
referred to the Dean of Students.
Thursday, 11/02
* Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief, the marquee on
Drive A had been egged.
* Officers responded with Residential Life Staff to a welfare concern
after a resident consumed too much medication; subject was transported
to Richardson Regional for further treatment.
* A student reported his unattended vehicle had been damaged while parked
near building #20 in Ph 2 of the Waterview Park Apartments.
Friday, 11/03
* A resident of the Waterview Park Apartments reported phone harassment by
a roommate and a non-affiliated subject.
Saturday, 11/04
* A student reported his digital camera was stolen from his apartment in
Ph 5 of the Waterview Park Apartments.
* A student reported the theft of a bronze plaque from the Community
Garden east of Ph 2.
* Officers responded to a report of underage drinking in Ph 8A; 3 students
and one non-affiliated subject were issued City citations for
Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.
Sunday, 11/05
* Officers found two students sitting in a vehicle smoking marijuana; the
registered owner of the vehicle was issued a City citation for
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Monday, 11/06
* A student reported a suspicious person had followed her to class; the
subject was gone upon the officer.s arrival
Tuesday, 11/07
* Graffiti was reported on the southwest door of the Founders Building.
* Officers responded to the report of a strange odor in the Berkner
Building; Safety was called and they located some vent hoods were not
properly closed in a lab.
* A multimedia services laptop was reported stolen from the McDermott
Library.
* Officers responded to a fire alarm in the Jonsson building; a student
had stuffed newspaper into a recessed lighting fixture to darken the
room and the heat burned the newspaper setting off the smoke alarm; the
paper was removed and the smoke dissipated and the alarm was reset.
Wednesday, 11/08
* Officers responded to a verbal argument between students. Incident
referred to the Dean of Students.
* A student reported his textbook was stolen from the McDermott Library.
Thursday, 11/09
* A resident reported a non-resident entered their apartment without
permission. No property was taken.
* A UTD Guard found a vehicle with a fraudulent parking permit in Lot I.
* A student fell and injured his ankle while walking on the grassy slope
southeast of the Hoblitzelle Hall Temporary Building. He was transported
by Richardson EMS to Richardson Regional Medical Center for treatment.
* A student reported the theft of a MP3 player from McDermott Library.
* A student reported his bicycle was stolen from Building #41 of the
Waterview Park Apts. It was later found the bicycle had been impounded
by the UTD Police Department and was returned to the owner.
* A student reported the theft of two textbooks and a calculator from the
McDermott Library.
* Officers responded to a fire at Building #53 of the Waterview Park
Apartments. One student received a minor burn while extinguishing the
fire.
* A student reported the theft of his bicycle from the bike rack on the
west side of the Engineering and Computer Science Building.
Friday, 11/10
* A student reported his unattended vehicle was struck and damaged by an
unknown party.
* Four students reported someone entered their apartment without
permission and left a beer bottle on a barstool.
Sunday, 11/12
* A student reported his vehicle had been stolen from Lot H. The vehicle
was found in Ph 4 of the Waterview Park Apartments. The vehicle had been
moved as a result of a prank.
Monday, 11/13
* A staff member reported the theft of two projectors from the Classroom
Building West.
* A vehicle was towed from Waterview Park Apartments Ph 5 due to unpaid
parking citations.
* A student at Waterview Park reported a disturbance involving a neighbor.
Incident referred to the Dean of Students Office.
* A student was transported to Richardson Regional Medical Center after
complaining of a headache and a stomachache.
* A student reported an aggravated assault by another student which
occurred a couple of days prior at Waterview Park Apartments. The victim
did not wish to pursue criminal charges.
Tuesday, 11/14
* Officers responded to a student having a seizure. Richardson EMS
responded, treated the student at the scene. The student refused
transport to the hospital.
Wednesday, 11/15
* Officers responded to a welfare concern in Ph 8. The student was
transported to Richardson Regional Hospital and admitted for treatment.
* Officers responded to the report of a student being bitten by a
squirrel. The student was treated at the UTD Student Health Center and
the squirrel was captured by Richardson Animal Control.
Thursday, 11/16
* Officers responded to a report possible underage drinking in Ph 9 of the
Waterview Park Apartments. Incident referred to the Dean of Students
* Officers and Richardson Fire Department responded to a medical assist
for an ill person at the Student Union. The student was treated at the
scene but refused transport to the hospital.
* A student reported the theft of her purse from a classroom in
Hoblitzelle Hall.
Friday, 11/17
* A student reported the theft of his IPOD from his backpack while on UTD
Campus.
* Two non-affiliated people were arrested for outstanding warrants after
being stopped for a traffic violation. Contraband was also recovered
during a search incident to arrest.
* A staff member reported the theft of cash and a cell phone from her
office in the McDermott Library.
Saturday, 11/18
* A member of the UTD Student Patrol reported being struck by an egg by
subjects in a moving vehicle.
* A non-affiliated person reported the Burglary of a Motor Vehicle which
occurred in the Athletic Field gravel parking lot.
* Officers issued a criminal trespass warning to a solicitor in the
Waterview Park Apartments.
* Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in Ph 8 of the Waterview
Park Apartments. There were no injuries.
* A non-affiliated subject was stopped for a traffic violation in the
Waterview Park Apartments Ph 3. The driver ran from Officers while being
placed under arrest. The vehicle was impounded and the driver is being
charged with Driving without a Drivers. license, Possession of
Marijuana, and Escape and Failure to Identify.
Sunday, 11/19
* Officers responded to a 911 hang up in Ph 7 of the Waterview Park
Apartments. A student and his non-affiliated girlfriend who had been
previously trespassed from campus were involved in a dispute. The female
was arrested for Family violence assault and criminal trespass.
Monday, 11/20
* A student reported an aggravated robbery near Ph VIII mail station of
the Waterview Park Apartments. The student was transported by
Richardson EMS to Richardson Regional Medical Center for treatment.
* A staff member reported the theft of a cell phone out of the School of Management
Building.
* A resident of Ph 9 was transported to Richardson Regional Hospital after complaining
of chest pains.
* Officers responded to a report of possible narcotics use in Ph 8 of the Waterview
Park Apartments. Contraband was located and seized.
Tuesday, 11/21
* A staff member reported the theft of a laptop computer from the Jonsson building.
* A vehicle was towed from Ph 8 of the Waterview Park Apartments due to unpaid parking
citations.
Wednesday, 11/22
* A student reported the theft of cosmetics and cash from a purse left in the Student
Union Comet Lounge.
* Officers responded to welfare concern at the UTD Counseling Center. No action was taken.
* A student reported her vehicle was damaged while parked in the Hoblitzelle parking lot.
* A non-affiliated subject was issued a criminal trespass warning after he was observed
looking into unattended vehicles in Lot H.
Friday, 11/24
* A non-affiliated person was arrested for an outstanding warrant after she was stopped
for a traffic violation in the 900 block of Dr L.
Saturday, 11/25
* A non-affiliated person was arrested for driving without a license, possession of
alcohol by a minor, and an outstanding warrant after being stopped for littering in
the 2900 block of Waterview Parkway. A passenger was issued a City citation for
possession of alcohol by a minor.
* Officers responded to a loud noise complaint in Ph 9 of the Waterview Park Apartments.
After making contact with the residents a large quantity of alcohol was found. Two
citations were issued for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor and Possession of Alcohol
by a Minor.
* A non-affiliated person reported his vehicle was damaged while legally parked and
unattended in Ph 9 of the Waterview Park Apartments.
Monday, 11/27
* A student reported the theft of his bicycle from the bicycle rack on the West side
of the Engineering and Computer Science Building; the bike was later located by the
owner.
* Two vehicles were towed from Ph 2 of the Waterview Park Apartments due to unpaid
citations.
* A student reported the theft of his wallet from the McDermott library.
* Officers responded the UTD Bookstore in reference to some stolen textbooks.
The books were later recovered from the Off Campus bookstore.
Tuesday, 11/28
* A student reported receiving suspicious phone calls at her apartment in Ph 1.
* A student reported the theft of her purse from Hoblitzelle Hall.
* Officers assisted the F.B.I. in serving a federal arrest warrant in Ph 8 of the
Waterview Park Apartments.
Wednesday, 11/29
* Officers responded to the report of an ill person in the Student Union. Richardson
Fire Department responded and transported the person to Richardson Regional Medical
Center for treatment.
* A student reported the theft of her bicycle from the bike rack near building #4 in
Ph 1 of the Waterview Park Apartments.
Thursday, 11/30
* Officers received a report of a baggie containing marijuana had been found in the
grass behind Building #58 of the Waterview Park Apartments. The contents of the bag
were field tested for marijuana with negative results.
* Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Dr C and Rutford
Avenue. There were no reported injuries.
* A Papa John’s Pizza delivery driver reported the theft of his car top sign while
making a delivery in Ph 8 A of the Waterview Park Apartments.
