Information for Interested Current UT Dallas / Transfer Undergraduates

Welcome

The UTeach Dallas Program was designed to afford students the opportunity to explore the profession of teaching math, science or computer science with little time and financial commitment. As early as your first semester in the program, you will have the opportunity to develop and teach a lesson in a local upper elementary school classroom. The program will also reimburse you for one credit hour of tuition and fees just for completing each of the first two courses, STEP 1 and STEP 2.

Students are encouraged to begin the UTeach program as early as the first semester of their freshman year.

You can major in one of the UT Dallas degrees in math, science or computer science.
You must meet with the UTeach Advisor to discuss the program and how it might work with your degree plan before you can enroll in our first course, UTeach STEP 1.

How to Apply

  1. Make an appointment to see the UTeach Academic Advisor.
  2. Complete the UTeach Student Information Sheet before you register for the first UTeach course.
  3. Plan out a possible course sequence for completing our program with the UTeach Advisor and register for the first UTeach course, STEP 1. Any student who has successfully met with the advisor can register for this course.
