Got Your 6 (GY6)

GY6 is a program held each Monday at the Veteran Services Center. Services include a financial planner, a Veterans Affairs attorney, health and wellness providers, and academic/career coaches. Visit the VSC at MC 1.204 to sign up. Space is limited.

Warrior SMART

In collaboration with the Center for BrainHealth, UT Dallas student veterans have the opportunity to attend Strategic Memory Advanced Reasoning Training (SMART) for free. The training is designed to help equip individuals with the tools needed to improve thought processes and brain health. Students complete the eight-hour training over the course of three weeks. Visit the VSC at MC 1.204 to sign up. Space is limited. Spring 2014 dates are coming soon.

Veterans Day Celebration

Nov. 11 — Campus-wide celebration will begin at 11 a.m. near the Plinth on the campus mall.

 

Veterans Graduation Cord Ceremony

Dec. 3 — The Veteran Services Center will host a ceremony for graduating student veterans. Students will be presented with red, white and blue honor cords to wear at their commencement ceremony. By invitation. Inquire within the center at MC 1.204 for more information.
