Our ServicesA unit of The Office of Communications, University Web Services (UWS) works with many diverse groups across our campus and offers a number of core services. High Traffic Pages and Applications - UWS maintains many key UT Dallas site components such as the university's home page, the Comet Calendar, Academic Programs, the Course Lookup, the Directories and the A - Z Site Index. Consulting - One of our services is to work with departments to assist with web design and development best practices. We can help with any or all five phases of a website redesign or build, including:
Departmental Publishing - We can assist in helping your department use Adobe Contribute software to publish changes to your website. With the use of university branded web templates you might find that publishing your own content is not that difficult. Contact us to talk about getting started or for support. Formatting HTML emails is a task we can assist you with. We can help you use the university-supported Ecartis and NetCommunity email programs to distribute to the student body, alumni, faculty, staff and friends of UT Dallas. WebTrends - WebTrends tracks data on many of the web sites at UT Dallas. WebTrends tracks more than hits. Detailed analysis is available for page views, referring sites, entry pages, exit pages, navigation paths, visit duration, visitors by number of visits, browser and version used, operating system platform and much more. If you have a special need for analytical information or would like to run your own reports, please contact our department. WebDAM Image Server - The Office of Communications maintains an image server that holds more than 30,000 images of the people, places and events. These images are available to publishers across campus to use in print publications and web projects. All of the images are approved for use and signed talent releases are on file. It is a great resource that is being added to all the time. If you have images (including signed releases, if needed) you would like to include in the library, please contact University Web Services at extension 4995 or webdeveloper@utdallas.edu.
