Communication
Communication is the essence of our work. We should strive to be clear and concise in all our communications - written, visual and verbal.
Usability
Usability affects end user satisfaction. We should strive to improve the quality of the user experience. Usability testing should be done throughout the site design and development process to ensure that our websites are easy to use, with little or no learning curve.
Strong End User Focus
Our focus should be on understanding and responding to the needs of the end users of the website. Accessing up-to-date information is the goal of our current and prospective students, as well as faculty, staff, and those with an interest in UTD. It is our responsibility to make this information easily accessible.
The U. T. Dallas Identity
The UTD website is the primary communications medium for the university. To strengthen our identity in the minds of our constituents, we should strive to include prominent placement of the UTD logo and the UTD wordmark on all public web pages.
Trust

Trust is a critical part of relationships. Those who depend on us should be able to trust that our word is our bond, that `we will do what we say we are going to do, and that the information we offer is reliable, credible and truthful.

The Client Relationship
The client department knows the most about its functions. We know the most about the components of a successful website. Open, proactive communication is an essential part of website design and development. We should strive to create and maintain close relationships with our clients.
