The SPN [Synergy Park North] Wellness Center is shared with the Athletics department, but has times that are dedicated to faculty and staff workouts. It features free weights, circuit training machines, and cardio machines, plus space for stretching and taking exercise classes. Take some time out of your day to do something good for yourself.

Fitness

Intro to Strength & Conditioning

Low to High Impact

This class focuses on a total-body workout using free weights, weight machines, cardio equipment, cardio, and resistance bands. In addition, you’ll learn how each weight machine works, and which part of the body it helps to strengthen.

Kung Fu Kardio

High Intensity Interval Training

You’ll incorporate eastern-style martial arts with core and full body training exercises. No prior martial arts experience needed.

Strong by Zumba (HITTZ [High Intensity Tempo Training Zumba] )

High Intensity Interval Training

This high intensity interval training class will test your endurance as you tone your body to the music. No experience needed.

Yoga Fusion

Low Impact, Strength, and Flexibility

Using a mix of Yoga and other techniques, this class will help you to reduce stress while improving your strength and flexibility. No experience needed.

Zumba

Moderated, Fun!

Come and dance with the dialed-up Latin rhythms of Zumba. C’mon and join the party. No prior dance experience needed.

  • From 190 / President George Bush Turnpike,

    turn south on Waterview Pkwy.

    — or —

    From 75 / N Central Expy,

    first turn west on Renner Rd,

    then turn south on Waterview Pkwy.

  • Turn east on Synergy Park Blvd.

    Synergy Park North will be the first building on your left.

  • Pass Stewart Dr,

    then turn left into the SPN [Synergy Park North] parking lot.

  • After you park,

    look for the “Wellness Center” sign

    on the side of the building,

    then follow the sidewalk to the left,

    to a set of double doors.

  • Swipe your Comet Card to get in.

Fitness
  • Consult with your physician before starting a fitness routine.
  • The SPN [Synergy Park North]  Wellness Center is a members-only facility. You’ll need to swipe your Comet Card at the door to get in. Please contact EmployeeWellness@utdallas.edu to be granted access. Please don’t give access to non-members, including children.
  • Use safety collars, spotters, and proper technique on all equipment.
  • Follow the instructions posted on strength equipment.
  • Re-rack all weights after use.
  • Wipe down equipment after use.
  • Wear proper gym attire and appropriate footwear. No flip-flops, jeans, or bare feet are allowed. If you violate this rule, you will be asked to leave for your own protection.
  • No food allowed. Water bottles are permitted.
  • Bring valuables at your own risk.
  • You are welcome to put a lock on your locker during your workout, but please remember to remove it before leaving.
  • Please bring you own towels. The SPN [Synergy Park North]  Wellness Center does not provide towels.

The University’s on-campus Activity Center, Recreation Center West, and Outdoor Courts and Fields provide plenty of options for getting in shape and staying healthy, including:

Memberships are available to faculty, staff, and alumni members. Members can also sponsor one spouse, domestic partner, or child 17 years of age or older. Annual memberships are available for purchase during the month of August with a Annual Payroll Deduction Form (PDF [Portable Document Format File] ).
