WindSTAR, the NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Wind Energy, Science, Technology and Research – will hold its 2018 winter meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board on Wednesday and Thursday, January 31- February 1, 2018 at the University of Texas at Dallas. Attendance is free but registration is required to participate in the meeting. The full meeting is for paying members of the WindSTAR Industry Advisory Board and special guests who are considering joining the Center.
To fully participate on Day 1, our special guests are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with WindSTAR.
Companies not participating in the full Day 1 meeting will have an opportunity to learn about WindSTAR purpose and on-going activities on the evening of Wednesday January 31, during the open information and poster session. Participation in the information and poster session also requires registration by January 12th .
All participants of the meeting will have an opportunity to learn about the progress made by the WindSTAR team in the following areas: control of wind turbines and wind farms, wind farm performance monitoring, modeling of blade plasma actuators, curing of thick adhesive joints and the prediction of mechanical properties for matrix materials.
