Textbook: There is no official textbook, but I will be working from Professional Android 4 Application Development by Reto Meier, published by Wrox Press.  I strongly recommended getting the eBook, and you can get the sample code online.
This is the introductory C/C++ programming class for Computer Science majors, which also teaches object-oriented design.

In this class you will learn the principles of developing mobile applications, with a concentration on Android.  You will also learn some things about user interface design.
