Ali earned the BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), in 2006 and 2009 respectively. He was Research Assistant with the Digital Signal/Image Processing Laboratory (DSIP) at Colorado State University at Fort Collins. Since June 2010, he has been a Research Assistant with the Center for Robust Speech Systems (CRSS) at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he is pursuing a PhD. in Electrical Engineering under supervision of Dr. John H. L. Hansen.
