Research Assistantships:

This research group is interested in students who have received (or about to receive) a M.S. and wish to continue towards a Ph.D. degree, and who show clear indication of mathematical talent and desire for rigorous research in signal processing and communications. Interested applicants should send me a brief email inculding:

  1. Research interest and background (very brief)
  2. GRE and TOEFL scores, when available
  3. Rank in class
  4. Electronic copies of B.S. and M.S. transcripts

Due to volume of interest, I can only acknowledge qualified students who have followed the instructions in this web page. To stand apart from the hundreds of applications that are received from around the world, you must demonstrate a deep level of curiosity and problem-solving ability based on your past record, as well as a good match to this research group.

In evaluating students, I look at the following criteria.

Post-Doctoral Position:

Post-doctoral position(s) may be available in wireless communications or medical imaging, depending on timing of the applications and qualifications of the applicant. Minimum qualifications include a strong history of IEEE journal publications.
