I'm fairly proud of my attempts at web design, and I feel like showing off my work. Obviously, exhibit A is my web site as a whole. My intentions were to make it easily navigable and entertaining, and making it more organized in the process. I've kept it fairly simple on purpose, because I'm not very impressed with flashiness, and so that it can be viewed with text browsers. If you're curious, I create my web pages using UNIX text editors (vi or pico), and occasionally use a template and a shell script. I don't know if my web "works" under Internet Explorer, but it looks just fine with Lynx 2.6 and Netscape.

Other Exhibits

  • Ruby - This is becoming my favorite programming language.
  • CGI - I'm actually pretty fond of CGI, especially with Perl.
  • PHP - A server side scripting language...
  • Java - Java just doesn't impress me that much.
  • Frames - Yes, frames are evil. They can be useful, but usually aren't worth the annoyance.
  • Imagemaps - Yet another nifty thing I have no use for.

Of course, I didn't get here by myself, so I also have a collection of links to some of the sources of wisdom and information I've used over the years.

As always, if you have any comments, ideas, flames, job offers, etc., go ahead and email me.
