Here's a list of some of the pages I have found most useful in creating my web pages.

University of Texas at Dallas
- Providing Your Own Information Only important for students at UTD. Direction for setting up a student web page, using CGI, etc.
HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and web design
- NCSA--A Beginner's Guide to HTML The best place I've found for learning HTML. Doesn't include every tag there is, but it contains most that you'll need, and is a great place to start.
- HTML Reference ManualMuch more like a dry textbook than NCSA, and more informative as well. I especially appreciate the HTML elements and HTML Special Characters sections.
- Web Development A very good website on how to go about designing and maintaining a website.
- Sharky's Netscape Frames TutorialIf you really need to use frames, at least use them right. This is a rather decent source of info.
Common Gateway Interface (CGI) and Forms
- Instantaneous Introduction to CGI Scripts and HTML Forms (7/96) This a wonderful explanation of the way CGI and forms work - I wish it had been the first site I'd found on the subject. Complete with nifty illustrations.
- The Common Gateway InterfaceUnfortunately, the first site I found on CGI. It's a great resource, once you know what you're doing. There's not enough introductory information, especially if you want to write your own CGI scripts/programs.
- Carlos' FORMS Tutorial REF This just has the tags for making forms, but if that's all you want, it's great. Pay attention, there's a quiz!
