Learning
objectives
After completing the course, students should be able to:
(1) Demonstrate an understanding of the signal processing techniques used in speech analysis, synthesis and perception studies;
(2) Demonstrate an understanding of pattern recognition techniques used in automatic speech recognition and simulations of human speech perception;
(3) Demonstrate expertise in the practical application of computer speech processing through the implementation of the term project.
