where students can access their own scores. Use your UTD computer
login name and password, or see the links on The WebCT page for
instructions on obtaining access. Please check your scores to make
sure there are no errors. Direct any questions about the scores to
your section's TA (see e-mail link in WebCT course listing).
E-mailing the professors will only delay your request. Requests for
corrections or checks must be made prior to the end of classes
(6/19 or 7/31) to be considered.
Class notes in an alternative format (PowerPoint) are available
online.
The following are basic rules for the class
-
Independent Work
- All graded work must be demonstrably your
own. Feel free to discuss the lab with your group or classmates,
but your lab report must be clearly distinguishable from others'.
Copying others' lab reports will constitute academic dishonesty,
and will generally cause a grade of zero to be entered for that
lab.
-
Attendance
- Attendance is mandatory. You are allowed to miss
one of the five labs without direct penalty. Makeup lab information
is available for each lab (see class website). A maximum score of
80% will be given for makeup labs.
-
Due Dates
- Lab reports are due 7 days after the lab period.
After that time a 2%-per-day reduction in score will be assessed.
Be sure to stay at the lab long enough to get the full data set from
each group, since you are required to present that data in your lab
report.
-
Writeup Help
- If time allows at the end of each lab, the TA
will assist those wanting help in understanding or writing up the
lab. Email your preliminary reports to the TAs by Wed. for
assistance on lab writeup.
-
Electronic Communication
- All class communication will be
handled through the class WebCT website. If you don't already have
access to WebCT, please arrange that (get a UTD computer username
and password, see UTD WebCT
Homepage.
Your grades for each lab will posted to WebCT.
