I am an Assistant Professor for Public Policy and Political Economy at the University of Texas at Dallas. Click here for a copy of my CV

I use a mixed-methods approach that combines statistics and field work to study issues related to the international political economy. My primary research project investigates why some developing countries borrow from the BRIC countries (i.e. Brazil, Russia, India and China) while others do not. My second research project examines how political institutions shape the effects of natural resources on macroeconomic outcomes.
