Teaching courses on topics in Political Economy presents a particular challenge: There are no clear-cut answers regarding what is “right” and what is “wrong”. However, most students will pursue a career in settings where there are no clear-cut answers either. Teaching Political Economy therefore allows me to guide students in developing and sharpening the skills required for working in such environments. At the same time, these skills will enable my students to become concerned and capable citizens in a complex world.
