Requirements Engineering

*

Cooperative processing mandates division of work, sharing of resources, coordination of work in progress, and utilization of communication technology, be it Internet, Intranet, PDA, or Wearable Computing. The critical task, of course, is (cooperatively) capturing the goals of stakeholders in terms of the desired functionality and quality of the system to be designed. The approach Dr. Chung has taken is to explicitly represent requirements, both functional and non-functional (e.g., interoperability, connectivity, adaptability, confidentiality and performance), to rationally reason about them, and to systematically design both functionality and quality in the system.
