Daniel Cohen is the Ashbel Smith Professor of Accounting
and the Accounting Area Coordinator at the Jindal School of Management,
University of Texas at Dallas.
Professor Cohen joined The University of Texas
at Dallas as an Associate Professor of Accounting in 2010. Before joining
UTD, Professor Cohen was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at New York
University Stern School of Business and a Visiting Assistant Professor of
Accounting at University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. He
teaches courses in financial accounting, managerial/cost accounting, financial
statement analysis and PhD seminars.
Professor Cohen serves as an associate editor
for the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Contemporary Accounting
Research, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, and Asia Pacific Journal
of Accounting and Economics. He is also a Co-Editor at The International
Journal of Accounting.
Professor Cohen received his B.A. in Economics
and Statistics as well as his M.B.A. from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem,
and his Ph.D. in Accounting from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2004.
