I enjoy teaching (proud of being a good teacher) and love to do research, especially when we work together.

I work closely and happily with all of my students and 13 graduated PhD’s.  The relationship lasts forever. In these  5 years, three of them received UTD ECS Best PhD Dissertation Awards.  Glad to work with and teach PhD students (or Visiting students, scholars 访问学生、学者) how to do research, and write papers in parallel embedded systems, embedded software, computer and network security, parallel computers and networking, etc. or anything you like to pursue more.  Feel free to contact me.

Being a Buddhist, I have been trying to improve myself everyday to be a kinder and happier person. I respect all people in each religion or no religion. Everyone is equal with a beautiful Buddha heart.

We have received more than 500 paper submissions to The 2006 International Conference on Embedded And Ubiquitous Computing (EUC'2006), Seoul, Korea, August 1-4, 2006. (Due date: Feb 22, 2006). I am serving as the Technical Program Chair. The Call for papers can be found here. Here is the Conference Web Site.  I am now reading and revising the translation of a commentary of a great Buddhist Sutra, Amitabha Sutra, 佛说阿弥陀经要解弥陀要解,英文翻译。 Here is The translation of the commentary 弥陀要解 英文翻译. (fee free to click it). This is the major sutra of Pure Land Buddhism, the most popular section of Buddhism in the world. I have improved myself a lot by doing this task.

Here are some thoughts I collected in learning Buddhism (in Chinese)沙行勉学佛心得 (right click: Open in New Window or Tab).
