Current Research Projects
Fuel Cells
We are investigating polymer electrolyte membranes (PEMs) for use in hydrogen fuel cells. We are looking into sulfonated block co-polymers to provide a proton-hopping mechanism for proton transference. Click here for more information.
Supercapacitors
We are looking into using carbon nanotube fibers activated with pyrolized polyacrylonitrile to create high power supercapacitors in aqueous and non-aqueous systems. Click here for more information.
Solar Cells
We are researching hybrid solar cells containing elements of both organic and inorganic semiconductors using colloidal nanocrystals (NCs). Most recently we're looking into CdSe NCs and conductive polymers. Click here for more information.
