Danny Zepeda obtained a Bachelor's degree from UT Dallas in 2003, after which he worked on combinatorial/solid phase chemistry in UT El Paso with Dr. Luis E. Martinez. He came back to UTD and worked on the synthesis and characterization of functionalized poly(p-phenylene vinylenes) (PPV’s) di-block copolymers for his M.S. under the tutelage of Dr. John P. Ferraris. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. where he is utilizing his expertise in PPVs towards their application as thin films and electro-spun fibers for plastic solar cells.
