Miaoxin (Alfred) Zhou received a B.S. in Chemistry in 1998 from Fudan University, Shanghai, P.R. China. He then worked as a chemist at Chugoku Marine Paint (Shanghai) and Sales Representative at Nagase&Co (Shanghai). He obtained his Master’s degree in 2005 working with Dr. John P. Ferraris on conducting polymers with work on the synthesis and characterization of BAM/EO3-PPV copolymers. He then continued his research in nanocrystals solar cells with research on synthesis of POP3HT/PbS nanocomposites for hybrid solar cell of BAM/EO3-PPV copolymers. He is currently employed as a post-doc for the solar cells group.
