RF and Microwave Circuit Design Tools
This page links to a set of Java Applications that I have written
to assist students studying rf and microwave circuit design.
NOTE: Oracle has removed the Java Web
Start mechanism which I have used to launch these programs from recent
versions of Java. To run these programs you will need to download
and save the file rf.jar
which is an executable Java Archive Record file:
Download rf.jar
Double-clicking this file ought to launch it. If that does not
work, run it from a command window using:
java -jar rf.jar
This should open a dialog box with a choice of which program to run.
- RFAssistant
analyzes transistor rf performance, and assists in the high-level
design of amplifiers.
- MatchMaker
helps with the design of matching networks.
- Clove is a
simple ac cricuit simulator that can take S-parameter files as device
definitions and output S-parameter files from model circuits.
