    Hua Bao is a Ph.D. student in Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science, University of Texas at Dallas with Jonsson School Distinguished Fellowship.

    He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (Nanjing, China) in 2000 and 2003, respectively. From 2003 to 2006, he was working as a software engineer in Motorola on embedded system development, with focus on the implementation of mobile applications, software / hardware interface, device drivers and signaling of wireless communications, etc. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. degree with advisor Dr. Issa Panahi in the area of digital signal processing on acoustic / audio / speech signal as a member of the Statistical Signal Processing Research Lab and the Acoustic Research Lab.
